The Sinneave Family Foundation is pleased to offer the Richard Haskayne Post-Secondary Scholarship to students with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This award is named after Mr. Richard Haskayne, celebrated entrepreneur and philanthropist who added his wisdom and expertise to the early development of the Sinneave Family Foundation. Mr. Haskayne served as a founding Board Member from 2008-2012. We honour his many contributions with an annual Scholarship to a deserving Albertan with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) pursuing a post high school education, training or vocation.
Purpose: To recognize and reward the achievements of students with ASD who are enrolling in a post high school program (e.g., college, university, vocational/technical school) in Alberta.
Value: The annual disbursement of the Haskayne Scholarship may be up to a maximum of $10,000. The Sinneave Family Foundation is committed to offering a minimum of two scholarship per annum with a value of at least $2,500, but there may be more than two awards available at the discretion of the Sinneave Family Foundation.
Eligibility: The applicant must currently live in Alberta and be accepted or enrolled at an Alberta college, university or vocational/technical school. Successful recipients may receive the Scholarship only once.

Applicant’s full contact information including name, address, phone number and e-mail address.
Information about the applicant’s future goals.
A description of the applicant’s post high school training program.
A short Essay (maximum 250 words) about how being a student with ASD has impacted the applicant’s education.
It is possible the selection committee will want to conduct a brief telephone interview with select candidates.
Submit: The candidate must submit the required application form via email by May 31, 2017

Disbursement: Applicants will be notified of the results of the competition in August. The award will be disbursed in November after the recipient provides
proof of enrolment to the Sinneave Family Foundation. A T4A will be issued for the amount of the award.
