Resource Centre

Providing credible information and support to those touched by autism

The Resource Centre is a Foundation-Led initiative at The Ability Hub.  A defining quality of the Resource Centre is the small staff of Ambassadors who are all knowledgeable parents of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Each Ambassador offers both professional and personal experience to new or returning visitors. Families and individuals affected by ASD frequently comment that in a challenging information environment, when faced with an overwhelming diagnosis like Autism, they truly appreciate the one-on-one personal connection.

The Resource Centre staff are focused on ensuring families, caregivers, professionals & individuals touched by ASD have access to a wide-range of information, transition planning resources and navigation support. We are committed to making available the most current information about ASD.

The collection of resources includes Tip Sheets on common ASD-related issues, workshops, books, brochures, our website, and an on-line resource database.  Material can be viewed in the Centre which features a relaxed seating area.  Our lending library is cost free and covers an extensive range of topics and ages, including a few children’s books; all carefully selected to meet our objective of offering credible information.

Our Ambassadors are available to help with information and resource navigation, follow-up support for the Launch into Life! Individual Transition Plan development, and to talk about living with ASD. Please contact us for more information or hours of availability.  Email:
