Are you a parent, caregiver or service provider of a child or teen with ASD?

Do you want to learn more about puberty and sexual development, healthy relationships, and personal boundaries? Sexuality is an important part of the overall wellness of all people. This workshop will give you practical tools and strategies to guide your child or teen through puberty and beyond and introduce resources to help build your comfort and skill in working with your child.

 

Presenter Bio:

Heather Cobb is a Sexual Health Promotion Specialist with Alberta Health Services and has been working with the Sexual and Reproductive Health program in Calgary since 2000. An education and training professional Heather’s education includes a Bachelor of Sciences in sociology and psychology and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education from the UK.  Areas of focus and particular interest for Heather include normalizing sexuality in the family, and sexuality and diverse abilities. Heather works with teachers and health professionals to improve access to information and strategies for teaching, learning and talking about healthy sexuality and relationships.
