Strategies For Parent Involvement in Your Child’s Job Search Workshop

Come and learn strategies to help your son/daughter succeed in finding a job. Topics discussed will be:

Keelin Mckiernan completed her Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from Mount Royal University in 2013, and has been employed by Society for Treatment of Autism since 2010. Formerly holding the position of Staff Trainer and Senior School Therapist within the Residential Program, she worked with children and youth with severe autism at home, in the community, as well as in schools. Keelin is the ASD Employment Re-entry Coordinator with the Ready, Willing, and Able (RWA) project. Within this National project, in partnership between the Federal Government, CACL, and CASDA, she is working with individuals with autism re-enter or enter the workforce. The goal of her work is to assess work readiness, break down the employment barriers her individuals present, and increase employment opportunities for these individuals. Outside of STA, Keelin enjoys curling, reading and hanging out with her friends. Keelin is also looking to complete her Board Certified Behavior Analyst Certification in the next few years.
