Aspires Update – Pancake Breakfast
Posted: August 1, 2017 in General Autism News
On Friday July 14th a few Aspires members attended the Norfolk Annual Pancake Breakfast to get a ‘taste’ of where and what Norfolk house is. Located in the heart of Kensington, Norfolk’s community mindfulness was experienced by families in attendance. Community members, musicians and nearby businesses all attend, contribute and participate in the Norfolk’s Stampede breakfast. Some tenants have lived in Norfolk house for 30 years! Mayor Nenshi also stopped by to visit.
Hopefully Norfolk House will soon be home to a few of our Aspires Young adults. They have decided to try out the Concierge model and once the details are worked out, will be offering suites in Norfolk House to a few individuals with autism who need light support and help getting connected socially.
