CommunityWorks Canada Update
Posted: November 27, 2015 in General Autism News
The CommunityWorks Canada program is enjoying another great session this fall. Participants have been involved in a variety of community service experiences, going everywhere from the Zoo to the Library, to therapy centres and beyond. CommunityWorks Canada helps teens start to think about work after graduation, and encourages community involvement. As we know, being engaged in community just Works!
We would especially like to acknowledge our community partners who provided meaningful volunteer experiences and tasks for our participants:
- Calgary Lead Foundation
- Calgary Winter Club
- Calgary Zoo
- Calgary Public Library Foundation
- Ray of Light Holistic Living
- Renfrew Educational Services
- Re-Matt Calgary
CommunityWorks is gearing up for its winter and spring sessions starting January and April 2016. Registrations are ongoing, but spots do fill up quickly so if you would like to be a participant, give us a call! You can also become involved by donating your time as a peer mentor, or hosting our program volunteers at your local business.
If you have questions about the program or how you can become involved, please contact The Ability Hub at 403-210-5000, or email us at email@example.com.
