The current session of CommunityWorks Canada is well underway and has already completed job tasks at four unique work sites. Examples of tasks have included making popcorn filled piñatas for the animals at the Calgary Zoo, cleaning and organizing therapy toys at the LEAD Foundation and helping out at the Central Library by creating information folders for a large meeting. In addition to the effort and pride shown during the work tasks, we have seen impressive dedication to improving soft skills specifically conversation reciprocity and appropriate verbal and non-verbal communication. Future work site locations include the Inglewood Bird Sanctuary, Re-Matt and Renfrew Educational Services, where we looking to further the work skills and take steps to achieving broader goals.
We are currently accepting applications for the CWC program that runs from the beginning of April until the end of June.
