Family Services Community Grants
Posted: May 8, 2014 in General Autism News
We have received requests for an extension to the closing date of the Letter of Intent (LOI) for the Family Services Community Grants. The new closing date is Monday, May 12, 2014.
Autism Speaks Canada proudly provides funding for not-for-profit service providers across Canada through the Family Services Community Grants. The purpose of these grants is to support service providers to build their capacity to support individuals and families impacted by autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Grants are given for up to $25,000 for a one year duration to support new programs or the expansion of existing projects.
Family Services Community Grants focus on three key areas of need:
– Recreation and Community Activities
– Young Adult/Adult Services
Grants are chosen through a review process, including a community panel of individuals with ASD, family members, friends and service providers across Canada. Since 2010, Autism Speaks Canada has granted over $2 million through the Family Services Community Grants to not-for-profit organizations across the country.
