It’s BACK TO WORK for the EmploymentWorks Canada and CommunityWorks Canada® Teams!
Posted: October 5, 2016 in General Autism News
The EmploymentWorks Canada and CommunityWorks Canada® teams have been hard at work establishing vocational opportunities with a variety of new businesses and unique industries. Over the course of the summer, the teams have made some wonderful local connections with community partners like the Toolshed Brewery, the Calgary Fire Department and Emergency Response (EMS), the Calgary Police Service (CPS), and the University of Calgary.
On September 20th, we laced up our work boots once again supporting new groups of participants as they learn and practice employment skills through ‘hands-on’ interactive work experiences. We are looking forward to reconnecting with past community partners, and to developing meaningful connections with our new partners as they engage in the program for the first time.
We are happy to report that the September programs are currently full, but we still have some space available in our Winter cohorts starting in January 2017. If you are interested in learning more about the EmploymentWorks Canada or the CommunityWorks Canada® program and how to participate, please call 403-210-5000 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
