The Sinneave Family Foundation Announces Retirement and Appointment of President

The Sinneave Family Foundation (SFF or the Foundation) Board of Directors is pleased to announce that effective November 1, 2015, Tanya McLeod will assume the role of President. Tanya has been with SFF since June 2015, and she has quickly earned the confidence of Board members and staff. Tanya was recruited to SFF after an international search, and she brings over 20 years of health leadership experience to the Foundation. She is a Certified Healthcare Executive and a decorated 20-year veteran with the Canadian Armed Forces. Tanya thanked the Board, “for their confidence”, and expressed “how privileged I feel to have the opportunity to contribute to making a difference in the lives of individuals and families touched by autism”. She also thanked Tom, “for the incredible foundation and national presence he has built over the past four years at SFF to enable this important work”.
Effective October 31, 2015, Tom Collins will be retiring as President of the Foundation in order to spend more time with family. Tom joined SFF as President in 2011, bringing with him more than 40 years of leadership experience. In his time with SFF, the Foundation has grown into a national leader in the not-for-profit sector. “I have been privileged over the past four years to lead an outstanding team of dedicated, enthusiastic and talented people, and I will miss them. I will also miss working with our incredible network of partners across Canada”.
On behalf of the SFF Board of Directors, Chairman, Jack Davis wishes to express “a deep gratitude to Tom for his significant contributions to the organization and to the national autism community. The Board wishes Tom well in his much earned retirement, and appreciates how much he is looking forward to permanently settling in Parksville, BC with his wife, Lynne, and to spending more time with her, their children and their 6 grandchildren”.
