The Sinneave Foundation, the University of Calgary’s Hotchkiss Brain Institute and The School of Public Policy were so pleased to be able to host an event to pay tribute to the memory of the Honourable James Flaherty, former Canadian Minister of Finance, and to raise funds for a legacy contribution to the Abilities Centre in Whitby, Ontario.
The tribute event featured a fascinating expert panel that addressed the topic Autism: New Discoveries and Directions. At the dinner, the Honourable Rona Ambrose introduced, Christine Elliott, spouse of Mr. Flaherty. Christine Elliott is the MPP for Whitby-Oshawa, and Deputy Leader of the Official Opposition for Ontario. She participated in the panel and delivered well-received remarks at the dinner.
