Update on Meticulon
Posted: November 2, 2015 in General Autism News
What a whirlwind September and October have been for Meticulon! Our sixth Assessment wrapped up in early September, and successful Candidates are just finishing up the Internship from our Software Testing Training. They are ready for employment!
Social Enterprise Canada featured Meticulon in an article highlighting our holistic approach to business and how that has enabled our Consultants to lead the lives they want.
In mid-September we found out that we were nominated for the Calgary Chamber of Commerce’s Innovative Business of the Year Award for 2015. Just before the awards ceremony on October 22nd, we also found out that we were finalists for Small Business of the Year—what an honour it has been!
Although we did not end up winning either award, to us, the recognition was a win. We were up against a number of incredible businesses and it was a privilege to be considered amongst the ranks of such promising ventures. This nomination gave us hope that Calgary is seeing the value we provide as a business. That is a step towards finding fulfilling avenues for each and every individual diagnosed with ASD that continues to remain under or unemployed.
To us, Meticulon is more than just the exceptional software testing, quality assurance and data verification work that we do. Meticulon is even bigger than our precise and diligent Consultants who help us provide our meticulous services. Meticulon, to us, is an idea: an idea about better business.
Here at Meticulon, we aspire and have recognized the value of people over processes. We know that labels do nothing towards describing abilities. And we know there is no way to put a number on value. In the time we have been operating as a business, we have literally watched lives change—and that is beyond any nomination or award.
Thank you to every one who voted for us; it is humbling to see the amount of support we have. An extra special shout out to all of our Business Clients who have believed in our Consultants and our vision.
Stay tuned for more updates as they come! Make sure to follow us on Facebook and Twitter.
